A MATHEMATICAL MODELLING TO STUDY RADIAL TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN HUMAN LIMBS

Author: Sonia Shivhare* Yogesh Shukla*

Category: Engineering, Science and Mathematics

Abstract:

An attempt has been made to study the application of bio heat transfer equation in solving cross sectional temperature distribution in the tissues of a human limb employing. The outermost surface of the limb is exposed to the atmosphere. The biological properties of cross section of a human limb are assumed to vary along the radial direction. The model incorporates significant variations of physical and physiological parameters like blood mass flow rate, rate of metabolic heat generation, and thermal conductivity in each layer. Numerical results have been obtained for various cases.
