Abstract:

In this article, the effect of inclined magnetic field on flow of upper -convected Maxwell (UCM) fluid over an exponentially stretching/shrinking sheet through a porous media in the presence of heat source/sink, thermal radiation and chemical reaction is numerically studied. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equation by using suitable similarity transformations and then solved by using bvp4c MATLAB solver. The impact of relevant physical parameters like Maxwell parameter, magnetic parameter, local porosity parameter on velocity, temperature and concentration distribution is discussed through graphs. The variation in Physical quantities like the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number with earlier mentioned physical parameters was also analyzed and presented through tables. To ensure validity of the numerical method, results of present study compared with previous published work, and strong agreement is noticed
