Abstract:

The integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems into the electrical grid plays a crucial role in advancing renewable energy goals worldwide. However, this integration poses challenges related to grid stability and reliability, particularly concerning the detection and compensation of faults within PV systems. This study explores the implementation of PV grid fault detection and compensation strategies aimed at enhancing grid stability. Key objectives include investigating advanced fault detection methodologies utilizing algorithms and sensor technologies to accurately identify and localize faults in PV systems. Additionally, the study examines effective fault compensation strategies such as reactive power injection, voltage regulation, and adaptive control systems to mitigate the impact of faults on grid operations and optimize energy yield. The research emphasizes the importance of scalable and cost-effective solutions tailored to diverse grid environments, addressing challenges in real-time fault detection and dynamic compensation. By enhancing grid stability through these mechanisms, the study contributes to the reliability and efficiency of renewable energy integration, supporting sustainable energy transitions and ensuring continuous electricity supply
